Micro Sleeve Company, Inc. offers Sleeve and Seal Kits to supply all the necessary parts to fix a rear main seal leak in one convenient package.
One line of the Micro Sleeve sleeve and seal kits is for the engine remanufacturer. Each kit has the Crankshaft Seal Surface Sleeve, a full circle seal, and gasket and/or "O-ring" where applicable. The second line of sleeve and seal kits puts the technology to fix the leaking full circle rear main seal, with the engine still in the vehicle, in the hands of the clutch installer and repair technician. With a new sleeve and seal installed, the adverse effects of the worn groove is negated, and there is a new seal surface. A properly installed sleeve and seal will provide many thousands of miles of leak free protection. Micro Sleeve's testing of the Micro Sleeve seal surface reached 176,000 miles as of February 2000, with no leaks.
